New Site Helps Angry Americans Drunk-Dial Members Of Congress

Frustrated over the government shutdown? Revolution Messaging feels your pain.

The digital communications firm has created a new site, DrunkDialCongress.org, which is exactly what it sounds like. If you enter your phone number, you will be connected to the office of a random member of Congress, so you can drunkenly shout at them for their repeated failure to govern.

“As Members of Congress quickly returned from their final symbolic, non-effective and otherwise useless votes to avert a government shtudown, the heavy drinking began,” the site notes, referencing reports that many lawmakers were inebriated when they cast their votes to shut down the government. “Now’s your chance to tell your representative what you really think of their actions.”

For your drunk-dialing convenience, the site provides a number of talking points, such as “You jerks are costing the country $12 million bucks per hour!” and “I can’t watch the panda,” along with a number of drink recipes such as “The Southern Congressman,” “The Fancy Statesman,” and “The Sleepy Senator.”

Unfortunately, subbing in a glass of your favorite Merlot will not increase your odds of being connected to House Speaker John Boehner.

In its 920-page policy manual the word “abortion” appears nearly 200 times.
